Pittsburgh for Palestine: Poetry, Prose, and Photography for Liberation
The works in this chapbook were submitted by members of the Pittsburgh community and thus represent a wide range of perspectives on the theme of Palestinian liberation. Contributors include those who have lived in occupied Palestine, those who have Palestinian heritage but cannot return to their homeland, and others who have no physical connection to the land but have been motivated to contribute after witnessing the genocide of Palestinians unfold since October 7, 2023, and the erasure of Palestine since 1947. These works express anger, compassion, grief, and hope. We are all affected in many ways by colonialism and imperialism, and there is no one voice that can speak to its effects. Only by hearing our voices together can we hope to understand. What each contributor shares is a dream for a free Palestine and an end to occupied nations around the globe—and a belief that if this dream is possible it is so through our coming together as a community.
